New For 2000
We have made substantial improvements on our Model 8DX. We have modified the lateral swing of the dredge arm. The dredging radius has been increased from 90 to 120 degrees rotation, enabling greater working area. Complimenting this new improvement, we have added 2000 lbs. of flotation support to the swing motion of the arm, making the lateral sweep much more stable. In addition, we have also increased the outrigger flotation by an additional 4,000 lbs.
This greatly increases the stability of the dredge even in rough water conditions.

NESSIE 8DX LEADS THE WAY IN
BOTH LAND AND WATER MOBILITY!

Nessie is now available with an amphibious conversion never before available with a conventional dredge. Supported by 12 terra float tires of which 6 have positive traction. "New Bolt On Amphibious Drive Train" makes it possible traverse areas over land including bogs and shallow areas that are not normally accessible to conventional dredges. The new drive train can also be converted into a large transport trailer that is capable of being towed by a small vehicle. This transport trailer conversion can transport large amounts of dredge tubing and other necessary equipment required to facilitate a dredging operation. When fully assembled, its 13-foot fully extended width can easily be shrunk to a legal trailer width by activation of built in hydraulic cylinders. Nessie's excavating multi-purpose arm makes it possible to utilize a wide variety of optional attachments for most operations involved in marine maintenance, mining and construction, weed harvesting, debris removal, heavy clay dredging as well as deep dredging.
